Thanks Steve, glad to hear you got through ok. Hopefully I am strong as you in dealing with this. If she really chooses to stay away then I will ask her why not consult marriage counseling, the only problem is she is in France.

Anyway must move on I suppose.

Hi Gavin,

I've been there too, got the t-shirt and come through the other side. To this day I don't know how I actually came through the other side with everything that my ex-wife threw at me but I made it, albeit with a number of mental scars.

Is it too late to try some marriage guidance counselling? A mate of mine went through a bad patch last year (him and his Mrs were well down the divorce path) but they tried counselling and are back together and as happy as ever.

Hope you get a good price for your car.

Cheers

Steve

make sure the marriage counseller can speak English if you go over there otherwise could be saying all sorts of **** to your wife

LOL I will.

The car is now sold.

Tomorrow a proud new owner is flying down from Scotland and I will pick him up at the airport.

Gavin,
Good news you have sold your car mate and I know that must have been hard to do..!!
My first marriage lasted around 23 years, messy break-up, but I quickly got in to survival mode, got on with my business and then met someone else..!! I know at the moment everything feels really raw, but you are trying your best and if you can repair things then all well and good, if not, start again, lot's of us have done it..!!
Best Of Luck..!!
Cheers

I'll look out for the car up here, I flew down to Gatwick and drove mine up the road, hope all goes well, and best of luck.

Thank you for your kind encouraging comments.

The proud owner is very happy with it. This late afternoon on his way back home he had a front tyre problem (a blow out sort of thing) fortunately the car comes with a space saver which the AA put on for him. Due to speed and distant restrictions on these type of emergency spare wheels he decided to stay at a roadside motel and will have a new tyre fitted in the morning.

Then he has the perfect excuse to continue blasting his way back home!

I miss the car already. In the near future I will be back, of-course with a newer model, perhaps a MC12...

But I miss my wife and 4 month old baby boy much more.
