I read the S was better to go for but then the starting price moves up a notch. Then you startling looking at later facelift/MK2 cars then the price jumps again. Not such a cheap car then.
Is the early non-s so bad?
No, it’s not bad. In fact, it’s very good. The steering, handling, composure and comfort are all sublime. For the money, I doubt there is a better handling factory 2+2 car out there. But I just feel it lacks power for the car it was intended to be, ie Lotus’ 911 beater. The S goes a long way to correcting that and adds a bit more noise to the mix too. The later cars are true supercars
