Tickets bought (it seemed premature until I had my car back!). I look forward to meeting a few new faces (and probably some old ones, too).

Anyone up for meeting at Fleet Services, 08:30 to head up together?
I shall be refuelling anyway.

Only just saw this event yesterday but just booked my tickets and dragging my two brother in laws along for the ride.

Do people normally take their Masers? Matt mentioned his has been scratched before.....are they just open to the public to do their worst then? Do we get special entrance and parking area then with the cars on display? We will be going from South Mymms J23 M25 and looking to be there as soon as gates are open so leaving at 7am I guess.

Correct that you get special entrance and parking and are then on display. Can be a little disconcerting depending on where you end up parking. last year some punters did seem to get overly familiar with my swirl free detailed paintwork with their kids and handbags. Nothing deliberate but not advised if you are overly nervous of such things (which I am and now reconsidering where I park having written this and remembered last year!)

Are there any plans for a forum "meet up" once there? We seem to have quite a few going along from around the country and naturally we're all going to turn up at different times and end up parked in different places.

Having never been before I wasn't sure what the "etiquette" was??

Cheers

Thanks for the info & heads up. Thinking of getting the car detailed & topped up with polish/finish etc. at some point so guess after Brooklands could be an ideal time. I bought mine a few months ago off original first owner with less than 12k miles so it is pretty mint. Want to keep it that way but can't keep it tucked up in a protective blanket all its life.

Just speak to everyone and introduce yourself by both name and forum name. You won't miss mine mate as you will hear it about two miles away :)

Thanks Phil, I met you guys at the pub & Ace meet a few weeks back so am sure so will remember some faces from then. Be interested to hear your 3200 though in the flesh. We can swap 'loud' stories as mine too sounds very different now to the Ace meet

Mine now has a straight through centre section with the Tubi rear boxes... Sounds lovely. Will signal others through a judicious "blip" :)
