Sorry to hear that, Dem. I've gone through exactly the same process recently when I finally decided to sell my Stratos replica. Like you, I just wasn't driving it. Other than trips to shows and the occasional blast.

So, after months of agonising, I've decided to sell. She goes on sale this weekend at the Silverstone Classic. I know that it will be really tough to let her go. But, like you, I realise that it's the right thing to do.

Plus, there'll be room in the garage for a Porsche 964................:D

Another tough sale, the Stratos is such a beautiful car but no one keeps a car forever I guess. Funnily enough I was looking over the auction lot list last night but didn't see your Stratos replica listed but I may have missed it - there were so many other delights to look at too. Good luck for the sale at the weekend

I'm not auctioning it there - I don't think it quite meets Bonham's criteria - hehe. I'm just sticking a "for sale" sign on the car on the Stratos Enthusiasts' Club stand.

Oh I don't know, there's a Noddy Car and an Audi 80 so I don't see why not!
Good luck, if only my numbers would come up, I would be in touch in a flash! I knew someone who had an original Stratos and the replicas are by his own admission so much better built. Is yours a standard body or Group 4?

Felt your pain twice Dem...but the forum is more than just an owner's club and in time you will be behind the wheel of your choice again.

Hey, Dem: haven't 'met' you, but if you get it sold, and nostalgia takes the better of you, come and have a play with my (only marginally better ;) ) 4200, just around the corner from you...

Just catching up with this now Dem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My heart and very bone in my body is screaming at me to beat you around the head and knock some sense into you, but sadly my brain knows full well that you have all your faculties in place and you're doing this reluctantly, but for the best of reasons.

Catch up soon (sorry, been a bit cr@p with text messages) Kisses to the ladies in the house and all the best for the sale.
