Although the Cup is a fantastic car, i personally think they're over-rated, buy a 2.0 or a 2.8 GT, stick some Eibach springs on it (£100) & you won't really notice much difference & it'll be a third of the price. A Cup carries a huge premium for what is effectively a GT with some fancy wheels, a few goodies & some different trim. Yes the Cup has roller bearing turbos but they really don't make a huge difference over & above standard GT turbos, & yes the Cup has a race history but the race series was poorly publicised & short lived, how many people really remember it?

In my humble opinion the Primatist carries much more credibility, its rarer than the Cup & was built to commemorate a world record (although its likely no-one remembers that either :)).

A 2.8 Ghibli is on my want list. When I have more garage space.
There's plenty of lovely ones on Autoscout.

Wasn't the Primatist a LHD car only and not available in the UK....

Correct, the Primatist was built for the domestic market and is based on the 2.0 GT. A few have escaped to other parts of Europe including 3 or 4 to the UK
