Any idea on this warning light?

This popped up today while driving in fog.
Auto lights did not come on at all during foggy conditions. But when I drove through the Blackwall tunnel lights all came on.
I cannot find this symbol anywhere?

OK that's adaptive headlight failure (which is, I think, the steering of the lights to accompany the steering angle)

I recall it's often caused by water ingress in the ballasts and can be a PITA to resolve but I'll wait for one of the pros to chip in

The auto lights don’t come on in fog as they’re only activated in when it starts to get dark. It’s the same on Mrs. 1963s Mercedes I don’t know if other makes of cars are more clever to recognise fog to activate them.

If there is any mist/condensation in the camera unit at the top of the windscreen that houses the gubbings for the Auto High Beam you will get the 'unavailable' message as displayed in your photo - as soon as the mist dissipates it will then become active again.

That may have been the situation that caused your amber error light.

Yes all the above are correct. The auto lights are poor in the fog, you usually have to manually put them on

The symbol you see I get from time to time on icy mornings, the auto lights are unavailable. It soon clears itself.

I get an adaptive warning at temperatures below 3 degrees in the Merc. Once the lights have warmed up on manual they work fine. Not sure if it is stiff mechanism or some sort of protection from Cold weather. It keeps telling me to read the owner manual. What the fuss is an owner manual?

The lane departure and other such stuff also is disabled, its not just the lights
