And who pays the BBC, the TV licence payers who don't have any choice!

Dave

Well, actually you do have a choice. Don't watch the BBC. I mean I don't support the BBC wasting my licence money on Top Gear, but then nor do I support East Enders, Homes under the Hammer, The Repair Shop, Strictly come dancing, Pointless and a million other programs. But I do have a choice

this tv licence thing is confusing, from what I hear, as long as you have anything that can receive bbc channels whether you watch them or not you are still liable to pay the fee, happy to be corrected on this

Seems pretty clear

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/tv-licence/

You used to need a TV licence merely for having a telly, but now those who only watch certain channels on catch-up can get away without paying the £157.50 annual fee. If you watch BBC iPlayer, you'll need a licence, but you won't for other channels' catch-up services. Confused? Don't be. This full guide will take you through whether you should be paying or not.

It’s hard to crash a Diablo. As 90’s supercars go they are as planted as can be, with 4 wheel drive and linear power delivery. They give a great sense of control and security, and couldn’t be more different to, say, an F40. It would have been a lot worse, a lot earlier, if he’d been driving the Ferrari.

It's 11 quid or 13 quid a mo or something - well worth it for the quality for me, unlike the Sky ****, I was somehow led slowly over time into paying 150 quid a mo for their 'services' and while there's good stuff on there, 90% of it is recycled cr@p.

As Athol said, much of what the. BBC produces is sold worldwide and is massively profitable. Especially Top Gear. It’s an investment that yields a vey good return.

Yea sure, but that doesn't excuse the muppets who cant drive and who damage the cars that we the punters supply to the BBC in good faith..
Can you imagine your mint Maser GS getting thrashed to death, damage to the bodywork etc and only getting back 10k less the vat..
That's the average payout!

I’m in no way contesting that Paddy McGuinness is a total d**k. I’ve met him a couple of times, he’s not like he is on TV. And if I loaned then my car I’d be gutted. But I wouldn’t lend it to them! They will be well insured and I suspect the owner will not be underpaid as the bad press is not worth it for them.

I know Paddy! Ex lifeguard at Bolton Waterplace, built on the site of Bolton Great Moor Street Station, terminus of the Bolton and Leigh railway 1828, arguably the first bona-fide passenger railway in the World - he's sound. Peter Kay is an utter twonk tho.

Bants and a bit of history there!

That's why you read the contract and not just sign it and hand over your keys.

I'm coming out..... I like the new Top Gear.....There I've said it..The three of them work better together than the the others who have tired. It's good entertainmen.......Better than that trash Clarkson and those other two old dinasours are currently churning out.

you would need your head examined if you ever agreed to loan your pride and joy to the top gear mob especially as we can all see how they treat cars with no respect
