Blimey, 1 owner from new, that is unusual for a 13 year old Maserati. Low miles too.

What I would love to know is how did he change the sh*te infotainment system for a CarPlay aftermarket one??

Anyone have any idea of this alchemy???

This the back of the infotainment unit...

Question 1: So has the whole unit been removed but the 3 sets of buttons for the volume, screen selection etc been kept as just dead fascia items or has the screen been “cut off” to create a gap?

Question 2: if you remove the whole unit, what services in the car are you losing? I think the infotainment system has some connection with the central screen in the dash. Actually I am sure it does as it controls if you want mpg or kph for at least one.

The surround looks like it might be a replacement. I bet they cut the top frame off to fit the alpine unit.

Did the original unit get removed? Any idea if the centre screen between the dials is affected?

Also what is Byfleet?
If they haven’t moved the screen to the boot then you will loose the ability to change the time and reset the service indicator. If it has been moved and retained then all functions should remain accessible.
