Unless they're silly money theres normally quite a lot of tinworm involved. I looked at a couple but declined test drives in them once I'd looked at the suspension mounting points. Still think they're the best looking car from that era that isn't £100k plus.

looking at his history he seems to sell quite a few cars...........in last 3 months a dolomite, tasmin and an xr3i

Hopefully this car will get the restoration it deserves.

I shudder to think what the final bill will be to do it right.

Too expensive to put right at this moment in time, best to buy it and do it up in 5-10 yrs time.....:)

They're actually pretty simple cars and not beyond self restoration if you're handy with the spanners. There is however a lot of work involved to get one top notch. Maybe when I retire....

Oh and if you say take the chassis for a spot of welding and jigging or galvanising, don't tell them it's for a merak or the price triples :)
