I have managed to find a solution to the anoying "chrome pealing of the air vents on the 3200. This has not been an easy journey never the less I am here! I have listed them on ebay as well but there is a 10% discount for forum members and if we can get a few sets done all at the same time I am confident I can get them done for even less! Could you let me know if the 4200 are similar?

PM me for more details

Looks really good Bill well done; I'll confirm the 4200 is exactly the same... I suffer from sparkly seats after touching the vents, I've just accepted it as an Italianism.

Is this a rechrome of the existing plastic?

Presumably sending all four to you for a period?

It's so annoying that bloody glitter! No it's not re-chroming. It's an aluminium upgrade. It would take around a week to do the whole set (6) but obviously you would need to send me your old ones

Cheers

I look upon the flaking/sparkle making chromed vents as a USP..........some people will pay extra for such a feature....arriving at a party or night out glittering for no apparent reason.....;).....;)

My wife was very suspicious once, as I had it all over my face! If that's not an incentive to come up with a solution I don't know what is...

They are really good.....Before I bought my 3200 I got the dealer to sort them out for me....Is it right that you have to take the dash out to get at some of gthe vents...?

I think I'd stick with silver but we have a good anodizing firm near us and the range of colours aailable now is crazy. I think it would be benificial to see about anodizing as they may dull if the car sits damp. If it's a numbers exercise let's hope there is a good interest for you. I will put the idea in the list of things for next spring/summer as I've got total spending freeze on the beast at the moment!

Bill these look great Are they 49 quid each? If so we might be better bulking up any from Aust to save postage. Might also check whether David Askew has any secondhand ones as it might be cheaper to buy those and have them done rather than post ours to and from the UK
Great work as the peeling really cheapens an otherwise classy interior. Geoff

Yes, that's the price each. But the more I do at any one time the cheaper they will be. If we do 10 sets say, they would propably be around 40 each

I like your idea of a rotating set. Does anyone have any damaged ones?
