Another GS brake pad question

At the MOT today it was commented that the fromt pads were about 4mm, and slightly thinner on one side than the other. I mentioned that the wife has a trackday booked in a few weeks, and it was suggested getting new pads before then.

I've done a search of the forum for pad options, and looked at Superformance website, and am a little confused.

There's talk of "green stuff", but EBC only list red and yellow. Superformance seems to want £600 or so per side, although this looks like it might include the caliper :)

I don't know what is in there at the moment, but it does need quite a lot of pedal pressure to scrub off large numbers, so something with a bit more bite might be good. However it is rarely involved in making the sort of progress that no longer sounds good when read out in court, generally it is used as a GT car for long cruises, the brakes only really being used around town.

What are the options and general preferences for pads these days?

thanks.

You can look at the options directly on the EBC website, where they explain what the compounds are designed for.

I'd look at YellowStuff for track pads. Have them in mine, and they work well - certainly better than the RedStuff I had in previously.
