Cheers Paul, I believe they're both well-priced 4200's considering they're facelift cars, low miles, FMSH etc. They're both in superb nick, lots of interested parties but not sold as yet....

Dem's talking about the red on at the start of the thread Paul.....The car was at another dealer at first and I believe Dem knows someone who works there or someone who knows someone who works there...

Sorry my post was not clear

Yes, andys right was talking bout the original car posted, the red one

I know the dealers, used to go out with their sister, been told by friends that they do a lot of cat cars.....

Anyway i went round to see it as a few of you were enquiring and i believe my words were "stay away", the car has been rolled and sprayed badly....im rubbish at seeing bodywork but yet could still see bad spraying on the roof overlapping with the wings

The car was rolled as one of the boys that go and refurb their alloys is a good friend of mine and he said he saw it when it came in....

The fsct this was in jan/feb time ish and they still have the car says it all

I was only joking Dem......sounded as if you were 200m away........thought you were in some secret hide out spying on Dicky's horde of cars

Great bit of advise for the rest of us tho.......you've seen.....you've judged.......and you've run :)

Some cats are just not worth rescuing, shame !

The red 4200 of Dave Taylor's which I now have for sale has immaculate paintwork, ages really well. Looks bright and shiny even if it's not polished.

And Matt (D2detail and forum sponsor) detailed it. It was good beforehand, but had real depth afterwards.

Looks from what I've seen on here that he does a great job, still looks great a while down the line. The interior is what impressed me, most light interiors don't stand the test of time particularly well but this one's like new.

That's Dave for you Dicky. Finds good 'uns and looks after them. His latest acquisition is testament to that, and to your efforts also.

All about the owners....
A 20 year old car could be immaculate compared to a 2month old car of the owner dont care....

I visited a house today who have a 1977 mgb and thats up for sale aswell and its immaculate....won a few awards....no rust no scratches....
