The hotel has changed ownership in the interim.... we did the tasting menu and "wine flight".... sommelier v keen on obscure italian wines (i rarely stray from Chianti or Gavi)... anyway he produced one which went with a weirdly spiced cauliflower dish - sensational !

Those with a keen eye will notice I lost my front plate on the way down... no surprise really as it was held on with blu tack after an earlier brush with an aggressive speed hump..New one on order..

Cracking drive back in the sunshine, exhaust howling and popping over Duncton Hill... and encouraged to rev the engine at a pitstop in Petworth by some old blokes... one of whom was impressed by the Pininfarina design and told me he used to work on the ferries in a boat designed by Pininfarina ... the SuperSeaCat... He's been a fan since.... I've googled it since ... quite mean looking ... for a Ferry !
