Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Regarding the Brembo discs - it seems that NextDay Brakes do hold their own stocks but the oters (AP and BrakeParts) seem to just order in when a customer orders. After much time on the web it doesn't look like anyone else holds stock but if you know of anyone would be good to add to the list of possible suppliers. Even started looking in Europe for the same F550 discs but either silly prices or not in stock as well.

I thought you couldn't buy the Maserati equivalent clutch off Valeo......same guy who has the pads for the GTs in the USA....sorry no number on box to see!!

Don't think you can P. That's how they come and the box has a Maserati label on it, so I suspect he bought it though Maserati, though maybe through the back door?

There's no wear on the release springs from the thrust bearing, so I'd say not........

Just the friction material, but the springs wear, as per the picture below.

I'm not aware of the springs needing replacing P, and they'd certainly last a d@mn sight longer than the friction plate, so just the friction material I think.

Its just for plate though......and he has others listed which are dearer?! Loz had tried to get these off Valeo but had no joy....maybe as a "grey" import from overseas it might be possible....if we can match it up to another car like the discs?!

Hi there. As a new member and having bought my Gransport only a week ago I am soaking up all the info I can from the forum so thanks to aall for the invaluable info. My car is being shipped to Australia as we speak where the parts will cost even more so I am wondering whether anyone has catalogued all the alternative parts and sources available to make the task easier (maybe that will be my contribution when I retire next month).
