I'm a bit worried about this.

If it's a 4 pot engine, I think the car will be lacking in character.

It it's the V6, I think it will be great but will surely be priced in the 35-40K territory, which is a fierce battleground.

I assume the R&D costs on this car aren't high, and its essentially a coupe on the Ghibli platform? (Not read the articles in depth, sorry.)

hum, they have fannied about for 5 years though which all ads to the costs, suppose, tomorrow we will see.

It will be about the weight and engine dynamics. They are talking about keeping the weight down to 1500KG. FFS - I know safety and NVH are important but all the cars in this class are bloaters - even the Jag is 1500KG+ and that's with all the aluminium.

Having had Suds, 75s, 147's, 156's - 4 pot, Busso and Twin Sparks it was all about engines that sang and steering that talked to you.

I am keeping everything crossed that they have rediscovered their DNA, otherwise it will be a long old haul to oblivion.

Oh dear, just seen the pics from the live stream... I hope it drives well.

That doesn't sound very promising - maybe it will look better in the flesh. I have been underwhelmed by launches in the past only to come round later but I can't say I was hugely impressed by this looking at the photos above

Here is a pic from the launch and the first official press pic.

I'd like to see one without all the bodykit fitted to this Cloverleaf model.
