A few people have asked about the Silver Giulietta and what I am doing with her. She will probably be up for sale so I thought I would share a few photos of how she looks and also the restoration that went into her a couple of years back

Giulietta Photos

The work was down by Ian Ellis who is a well known 105 specialist and as you can see every piece of corrosion was cut out and new metal work welded in, they is no doubting the standard of his work.

The only bit that wasn't touched was the roof. The car has a typical 80s after market glass roof fitted in which the seals have failed (now siliconed up) and there is one bubble of rot where the roof meets the glass. This bubble has not changed in size or appearance in the 5 years I have had the car. I have always been in two minds what to do, options from full Webasto roof, removing the sunroof and welding up the hole and finding a similar size or larger replacement roof have been considered but none have been done.

She has 84k on the clock and we are the 4th owner, the interior is mint with very little wear on any of the seats Mechanical she is a standard 1.8 on Dellortos with K&N filters. She sits on 14" Ronal alloys with Dunlop tyres.

Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.

Cheers

Which alloys are you after a standard set or something of an upgrade? I have a few sets knocking about dependent on what you want.

As above we need to see photos there aren't many 116 Giuliettas about

I had written a longish post but just lost it somehow... grrr.

I'll keep this more brief as I need to sleep.

My son spotted it and said want to go halves. So I sorted it all out then he backed out. I hadn't been looking for a car.

Its running a bit rough and there's a few bit need doing to the body and the mechanicals, but its really good for the age. I'll answer about the price once I've stopped my initial spending - once its running better and looking better!

I'm looking for a set of alloys about 15'' that have been for a Giulietta rather than aftermarket or 'they are 33 wheels' for example. ideally a set of Ronal A1's or Zender Milano's...that type of look.

Cheers
Colin

Great purchase - saw that one for sale but too far away

Ronal A1's would be the best option - great wheels

Good luck with her

Ronal A1s are great but I sold mine with the Silver one last year. Mine were only 14" and I had to get them from Germany
