Alfa Milano

Pretty awful IMO...Put a battery in it and people would buy a turd at the moment as long as the monthly was low.

And the monthly is low as they are struggling to sell these cars to the public. I bet most electric normal cars are company cars on the road.

I quite like it. Better with the alternative grille which is more old school, interior is quite funky.

I mean, the last car they called a Milano wasn’t exactly a stunner.

Modern SUV’s, much as they get slated on here, are popular, practical and here to stay. I like the mid-sized ones, such as SQ5’s, Macans and Stelvios. I looked into Tonales but they’re hybrid, quite like the Grecale but not £80k for a used (£110k new) Trofeo. This Milano will be like any other Alfa, nice, but too dear, a good used buy for those in the know. Has to get better reviews than the Toenail though or it’ll be doomed.

It's sometimes hard to judge the size of these chunky modern SUV's in comparison to older cars. I like to use carsized.com to play with what in your head are similar sized cars and see the actual difference! The 'Mini' being the simplest and most obvious example.

I loved it too, had a Twin Spark LE, but it has a face only a mother could love :)
Alfa Workshop has a 75 V6 that’s been given a proper engineer’s going over.
Twin Spark fuel tank for lower centre of gravity
1000kg
270bhp 3.2 Busso
And most criticially…
The suspension from an RZ.

And it’s RHD.

It was offered to me; my next ‘toy’ car - however long that will be - Will either be a Shamal or an SZ, but I’m thinking that the 75 will be more useable than the SZ, more of the time.
It’ll also be five times cheaper.

Fell in love with the 75 when I was 8 and my neighbour bought a brand new red v6
I remember the sound and I was smitten with it

You are right Dicky they aren’t going anywhere. I never really got them as I have friends got rid of there hatches and saloon cars as they need more room….Get an estate car as they have loads more boot space than these midsize SUV’s and most drive better and look better.

The problem is how few estates are being made now at a price point - Volvo stopped selling them in the UK, Ford binning off the Focus and thus the estate. All the others have had a huge price jump. I've had to go SUV PHEV for the company vehicle has there wasn't anything else and the boot space is way smaller than the V60 I've given back despite the overall dimensions being similar. In fairness Volvo still had a V60 in their lineup, but at an additional £15K vs my diesel model was out of contention straight away as the company hasn't changed the car allowance. I agree with getting an estate if you can, I've always had them for work and a few privately and love them. The best of the bunch was the BMW 530 xDrive, stunning engine, economy (ish) good looks and a huge boot for lugging stuff.

Hmm. Not so sure. Some colours suit it better. I had a couple of white 2l which looked like stormtroopers. My favourite was a grey V6. But then I found that the back end wasn't *really* connected to the front...

For what its worth I have had two VW Touaregs a bit of a sleeper, but what a great car it was. Large car yes, and a heavy one, But even on long journeys a joy to drive. 3 ltr V6, great engine, and when you put your foot down it took off like a scalded cat!

PS.It had the same floor pan as the Porsche Cayenne and the Bentley Bentayga, and i believe built on the same production line.
PPS all scalding of cats was simulated!
