Might be stating the obvious, but check that the earth connections are good to the body, having been nicely painted, could be the cause of the warning lights?

I would do just that Dicky, ebay turns up many and its a simple job to just cut it out and replace:

More problems. PAS leak seems to be due to the (new) flexible hoses going porous, the fluid is coming out of the hoses themselves rather than from a union. I bought oil hoses and it was very difficult to find the right sizes, perhaps they have supplied the wrong type of hose and the PAS fluid has eaten its way through them.

You're sure it's that the hoses are porous and it's not that they fluid is leaking down the braid (for example)?

it emptied the reservoir so its a pretty serious leak, hoses are soaking wet for their entire length and the pools of fluid are over a wide area rather than one isolated area.

Does rather sound like they're tissue then!

That is unusual, would have to be cheap nasty rubber to fail so badly.
I assume you had these made up? and not OEM hoses.
Had new PAS hoses made for the Stag, due to clearance with tubular manifolds, and my local hydraulic hose supplier re-used the original Triumph fittings.
Been fine for the last 20 years!

Looks ace, loving the wheels.
Now you can drive her you can sort the niggles at your own pace.
Body shop again...you do need to cut that elastic, hope nothing serious.
