It’s worthwhile trying a 164 Q4. All the extra ironmongery means that it doesn’t feel particularly quick. However, that encourages you to rev it out, and of course that sounds amazing. It has one of the quickest steering racks I’ve ever experienced.
however the big party piece is the 100-0 torque split, which turns it into a big Impreza with a Busso V6. It’s a curate’s egg of a thing, and flawed in many ways (you can’t even put more power through it as the diffs and gearbox don’t like it), but it really is worth trying one.
