"Alarm Unavailable" - Is There a Battery Reset?

I broke the unwritten rule and let the battery get a bit low on my GT Sport (although, that particular rule might actually have been written down a few times as well).

Cue alarm going off and not-being-able-to-get-into-the-car shenanigans late last night. Eventually, the boot decided to allow itself to be opened, so I've charged the battery , started the car and driven for 40 odd minutes, and all seems well apart from an "Alarm Unavailable" message and a padlock icon on the dash.

Is there a known reset procedure for fixing this?

Many thanks.

Disconnect the battery is the only way. Quick and easy as there's a thumb tab on the negative terminal

Thanks! I'll give it a go in the morning. I did disconnect the negative terminal to recharge it, and it didn't reset when I reconnected, but second time may well be lucky.

Ahh sorry. Thought you were asking about the battery reset. I had the same problem, although the alarm appeared to be working fine. Eventually it self resolved when I let the battery go flat....(not much help)

You might find that the proper shut down of the alarm (i.e. from a disarmed state, then disconnect the battery) and reboot does sort it.

Fingers crossed

I wasn't sure if there was any particular sequence involved, or if it was just a case of disconnecting and connecting again. I'll try the disconnect from a disarmed state and see what happens.

Many thanks for the suggestions...much appreciated!
