Accidentally bought an Alfa...Keeping the Masers

Well...went by the local Maserati dealer yesterday. Was honestly only my second trip there, as I get my pieces and parts elsewhere. Last time I was in, they said they had a couple MC20s making their way through. So really, truly, just going to look...and look around. We were in the Coupe, wife and two youngest in tow. Had had to put in an appearance at a work-related thing, and then was just killing time before our dinner reservations.

They had no MC20s, so we just started poking around. The Alfas caught Courtney's eye, despite not having a third row of seating...which we had had for so long, between Yukons/Suburbans and now the Acadia, that I just thought it was non-negotiable.

Then she test drove it.

And the only non-negotiable now became the sunroof.

So, I was an innocent bystander as she selected an Alfa Stelvio Veloce AWD with red leather sport seats... I present "La Tessitora" ("The Weaver"):

I have apparently created a gearhead!

Result, can't see any problem here

Mrs Z was often seen grabbing the keys to the Spyder whilst I was away but since that has gone she has had to make do with the SZ

my missus hates the Maserati says it's too loud and the back feels claustrophobic
Likewise!
Uncomfortable, noisy, unreliable, expensive....
She does have a point though.... when compared to our diesel SMax...!
The QP has been low loaded at least 4 times in the last 8 years and cost a fortune to maintain. Had very few issues with the SMax

But I know which one I'd rather drive!

My missus likes the back seats, when we are 3/4 up she will offer to go in the back as it feels cocooning. However she also doesn't like the noisy exhaust as she feels it is ostentatious. Women are odd, she can wear 10k of jewellery with no probs!

Daring to be different!
You have to love a woman who drives Italian.
Especially in the US of A.

To me, dating a woman who appreciates fast cars,
has one and drives it well, is just the icing on the cake :p
Courtney says "it's the closest I will get to driving F1," for whatever that's worth...

Owe you an email or two Mike; have had zero time to sit and think and respond. For evidence, refer to any/all of these hurriedly dashed off posts whilst sitting in meetings...
