I still feel I’m in a green (colour) car phase. But looking in the garage, the 4 cars I’ve bought in the last 12 months (Aston, Maserati, Lamborghini and Alpine) are all blue. Go figure!

Driving near Marlborough just now and saw a yellow Alpine A110 coming towards me - closer and it had “Police” on the bonnet and the rest in blue/yellow. Wilts plods are in special measures and have stiffed us with >5% increase in our local tax so who is paying for this?

Almost certainly Alpine are. Publicity. It's quite common. Look at the Dubai traffic cars.

proof that not all green is good. I love 129s but this is wrong!

I think that’s brilliant
are you being controversial, confrontational, colour blind or do you really like that interior?
If the later it goes to prove that we are all very different! The exterior of that 129 SL60 is the only designo green one made so there is someone else out there that likes it too!!!

I can't even afford this one here in France.View attachment 124426
thinking about price variation Phil. I wonder if it is a numbers game. The French never put cars high on their shopping lists and certainly behind food, wine, summer in Provence, apartments in Paris, mistresses, etc so I suspect the volumes sold as a percentage of the ordinary cars is significantly lower? Therefore simple supply and demand means luxury/sports cars are fewer and farther apart. (My ex wife told me that the 9k euros she spent on an SLK 350 here in the UK last year would be nearer 20k in France where she keeps it at her chateau, which was probably 25% of what it would cost here!).
It might be interesting to see how many 911s/M3/Granturismo, etc were registered there vs here.

I like it. I like a fancy interior, none of that Audi dull grey ****.

that was the biggest disappointment of my 5 Turbo 2, it had the standard 5 interior with Gordini seats in some stretchy beige fabric. Nothing like as special as the mechanically identical Turbo 1. The worst part was the fuel guage wich was tiny and fine for a 5 gal tank on a base model but the Turbo 2 tank held 20 gallons. It caught me out once because the low fuel light used to come on with 5 gals still in the tank so I was never sure how far to push it until I ran out on the A3M northbound near Cobham on a Sunday evening 2330! I started the long walk on the hard shoulder to the petrol station at Tolworth only to be picked up by a friend who spotted the car on the hard shoulder and found me about 1/4 mile up the road! What were the odds!
