A girlfriend of mine had one and I remember driving it in the Alps. What a tough little car. The cooling belt broke and I used her belt as a makeshift replacement. That little car handled the mountain roads and the ride back down to Nice without complaining. Underpowered, maybe, but cheerful demeanor, for sure.

Having said that, I'm sorta, kinda eyeing a Peugeot 205 GTI as a fun project. Those little crotch rockets were fun too. Definitely need a bigger garage.

Of all my Cars the one I'm really looking forward to getting back on the road is the Citroen XM V6 24 valve.
I remember the premier of the XM as a kid in the 80s and looked like a spaceship. The overall shape still looks great, as timeless as any car design. But for me the interior is a relative let down unfortunately, typical 80s plastic fest. I wouldn't mind one if I had the space mind.

The leather trim is excellent and the ruffled leather on the door cards very chic.
The plexiglass divider at the rear so that if someone goes into the boot space passengers don't get cold air coming into the car is a nice touch.

Google has just reminded me that two years ago I stripped my XM to get the engine bay wiring harness out that was severely damaged by rodents during COVID lockdown.
I bought the car as a non runner.
I've got the replacement harness just can't get to the car as the workshop is full with our household goods and building materials at the moment.FB_IMG_1701412980968.jpg

Without trawling through all of this thread, have these chaps been mentioned before? The cars look absolutely epic when done, but with a hefty price tag.

Wow if I suddenly had a big load of cash land in my pocket I would buy the light blue metallic one for €185,000 what a Stunner.
