The car has now been sorted. I knew it would need a fair amount spending to get it to tip-top condition. It's had a full inspection and cambelt and full service and needed new pads all round, 2 suspension actuators, 2 shocks, an undertray, wheels refurbing, new wheel bolts, tyres and a boot lock solenoid. These are the sorts of things I sort out on lots of cars that are sold as being 'spot on'. The gentleman who was selling was an honest chap who'd looked after the car and owned it since 8000 miles, just had a few problems and he didn't have the money to sort them out. Luckily, I did.
The car has had 10 services since new and was always done at specialists or main dealers. It'll be advertised for sale next week and I'm sure it'll be a great car for someone. It drove really well as far as the engine and gearbox were concerned even before the work was done so I'm sure it'll be superb when I pick it up from Autoshield. The interior is the best 3200 I've ever sat in, Nero leather but white stitching and piping really lifts it well. Not a spot of rust anywhere and the exterior is stunning. Looking forward to picking it up and driving then photographing it next week.
To stop you all guessing, it'll be £13950, which I believe to be a fair price for a mint, fully inspected and warrantied car so hopefully I'll find a buyer soon.
Thanks to Peter for posting it up, we have spoken since anyway, but I'd already bought it the night before it popped up on here! Like Mark says, early bird catches the worm. I'm glad I was quick on this one as it's a lovely car. It's annoying when you miss out on one, but nothing better than buying a great car at a good price, we all love the buzz that gives us.
