Dislikes:

The sound of the doors shutting
Manoeuvring the car in tight spaces
Sound, sometimes(admittedly not very often) it would be nice to turn the sound down
GT part prices( a lot more than my previous 4200)
Maserati logic of the controls/buttons

Likes:

The way it looks
The sound on start up and down shifts
Neptune wheel design
Practicality of 4 seats
A sense of occasion each time I drive it

Not heard of anyone wanting to turn the sound down! Lol.

I suspect your exhaust valves aren't working properly, or you have an x-pipe?
In standard form with the valves shut, they're quite civilised!

Mine's loud all the time. Mrs moaned about it.

I thought the valves only opened at about 3000rpm, so below this sport or non sport should sound the same.

Not quite, they open *more* above 3000. If you sit at idle and press sport you *should* hear a difference. If you don't, your valves are seized (or have been disabled) Or just get under the car and try to move the valves manually.

I'll try that, thanks.

None of the dislikes feature for me, but agree with the likes :)
Who doesn’t dislike expensive parts prices and lack of parts availability? That would be the main one for me. Minor stuff is not being able to switch to sport mode shifts and exhaust separate to hard suspension, and the beeping alarm. Other than that it’s pretty much all good!

Forgot the beeping!

Just about everything. Love it, even after 6 years.
Can't think of anything I'd rather have..... except, perhaps, a new one!

The teenie, tiny niggling worry that some parts (yes, I'm talking about those pesky wheel bearings) will suddenly become unavailable again until Q2 2057, and tomorrow my car will decide she needs one.

I knew what I was getting into, so it isn’t a dislike, it’s a feature :)

I might just buy one as a back up. Peace of mind. I did that with the gearbox potentiometer that’s NLA.

Also, I wouldn't panic yet. There is a certain specialist (I won't mention by name as some rate him, and some don't) that is convinced that he has finally found an interchangeable part from a different marque that 100% works, at a reasonable price.

The valves are vacuum operated. When you start the car from cold it'll start LOUD as the valves are open (and the secondary air system is doing its thing) after a few seconds the vacuum builds and you should definitely hear the exhaust go much quieter. If you don't, they are not working correctly.
Could be seized - Lay on the floor and see if you can move them by hand
Could be disconnected - make sure both valves have a black rubber vacuum pipe attached. If not, find it and re-connect.
Could have a vacuum leak or dodgy solenoid further up stream - The favourite place is a soft hose that runs behind the front drivers side wheel arch liner, it rubs and wears through.
