Hi,

Service manual mentions spark plug change at 50k and as I am replacing the rocker gaskets, I thought it's a good time to change the sparks as it's done 53k and they haven't been replaced.

I looked up alternative plugs, seen a few posts for the Denso IU24's, then came across the NGK PMR8A as an alternative which is cheaper again, but I came across the post below which mentions the NGK ZMR7AP, and recommends this as the best plug of all....

http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/...Spark-Plug-Test-Comparison-quot-SHOOTOUT-quot

It's even mentioned in a Ferrari 355 post..

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/212870-best-spark-plug-355-a-2.html

The result and response from the 1st test and the second Ferrari list passes these plugs as the best plug, so I wondered if they would be ok for the 4200 engine, has anyone tried them, is this the same engine as the F355?

Apologies if these questions sound a bit dumb, but I am new to Maser ownership and just trying to glean of existing experience and knowledge...

Thanks :).

I have had both the NGK and Denso and found both to be fine; not sure I could tell the difference. Either would be a safe bet.
