4200 Nav Screen Backing Plate

Does anybody know if it's possible to get the back plastic piece that screws onto the marelli screen? Mine cracked in numerous places when I took it apart. I was able to reassemble but I'm worried it won't stay together.

I am referring to the black plastic on the back of item 1 on the attached photo. I took it apart to address the sticky buttons.

I think your only chance would be to get a broken unit, or have one made.

It's only available as the complete piece, and that's *silly* money!

If you do find someone with a 3D printer, make it in a more suitable colour that the usual grey. Colour match with the rest of the interior or maybe carbon fibre!

Martin. Thats not a bad idea...plastic repair of the screen surround and then coated in carbon fiber. That should cover any repair.

You could try to find a scrap car with one in and get that..!!

I was thinking of building it in carbon fibre but you've added to my idea and that's even better! Quick, easy and cheap(er).
But wasn't someone on here messing around with making carbon fibre bits and pieces. If so, here's a project for them.
