Yes sorry everyone I nipped in and bought it yesterday and at a great price. I won't depress every one by saying how much lol. Great car, great colours and once I've got my dent man round, conditioned the leather, ripped off the exhausts and fitted an offensively loud one, it will be a stonking car. Thanks to my bro and to MAF for the advice. Live the dream. ;)

Well done, Martyn. A steal at that price! Welcome to the club finally - you need to change your signature now and get some pics up pronto so all the procrastinators can see what they've missed out on!

Told you someone would get a bargain and a sorted car. I reckon Martyn stole it from Alex based on the few chats I had with him as he needed a sell.

Ahhhh...I'd agreed a price with Alex on Monday (managed to negotiate a great discount too) but then pulled out as realised what I really wanted was a Gransport and didn't want to regret buying a car that wasn't what I really wanted...well done Martyn...

My guess was £12k as well. I don't think it was meant to be for me. I am a firm believer in fate and am sure something will be round the corner for me soon

Facelift 4200 for 12k that's got to be the record low for the 4200. Into 3200 territory now.

I am not sure a low price is necessarily good for all though. Maybe a Maser cartel should be formed to control price levels. All buyers and sellers will need to have there transactions vetted & approved by the 'surf' Board!

To be fair, had he sold it to a dealer he would have got 10k, probably. So, in all seriousness, I probably helped the guy out as he had to get rid this weekend. It does need some money spending on it and has a creak from the front suspension which could prove costly. And given that, I have to cover that cost. ;)

I agree, I'm only pulling your leg....just a little jealous as I didn't get it for £12k! You did well....it is good for both and agree the car is not mint and probably needs a bit spent to get it back up to a decent level. The 25k miles in 30 months must take a little toll.

Good luck and hope it looks after you. I am sure I will have my first Maser soon.

Great to read a happy outcome and having had my first 4200 at 52k miles I think it will bring you plenty of happiness.

Hope to meet you at one of the meets to come...maybe Bristol???
