If this is new, it'll have the original software loaded if anyone wants to try it out. More aggressive than the so-called upgrade.

The software is MAC1-0D34. This is the aggressive version. I had an '06-dated TCU in my '02 4200. It was the aggressive version as confirmed by Emblem. The question is - is this item really brand new - and thus not had the upgrade (the labels rarely get changed). If it is, then it is a bargain as an original TCU loaded with this version of software is very hard to find. I should know, as I spent two years looking for an original after I had my TCU software upgraded, and regretted it. I found one eventually and installed it. Then, when I eventually sold the car, I put the upgraded one back in and sold the original for £495.

I wonder who bought that dave :) personally I prefer the original soft wear more aggressive and sharp , on full chat will snap your neck on change up , but the best bit is when pulling away it's pretty instant and not like the update which has a terrible delay .

Having the original software myself, the reason why I sold my FD DBW module, before even fitting it.
I think the FD DBW module is required more for the updated software, not the classico original software.

I certainly was happy with the original software. And the downshift. On straight throughs :D

I too preferred the original 2002 F1 over mysofter 2004 version plus I hate the brake assist on Hill starts.
It just annoys me as I know how to drive.
