Is that for Marios boxes?

Cheers

Yes it was, my only complaint was that they were not finished to the level that you see in all the promo photos on websites in general.

I polished all the exposed parts to the best of my ability and had to be satisfied with the rest.

Thanks Dicky, needamaser, Migliore and CB.

Chris, perhaps I can just buy your back boxes? :)

I should go talk to someone I guess, but there's so many other options around it seems a bit pointless re-inventing the wheel

hmm ok might not bother then.

but just an x pipe would make a difference?

or surely custom decat + xpipe and and standard rear boxes would make a difference?

also who did you get to do your custom decat simon and how much was it.

I had an exhaust specialist in Kent remove and replace the secondary cat sections. They manufacture custom exhausts and manifolds for race cars, as theirs bread&butter 2 of which were there being worked on while I was there, so my job was very simple for them. I think it cost in region of £250 or so.

The sound was slightly more menacing, but didn't make a big difference on it's own tbh.

Exhaust is such a personal taste, I like to hear my Spyder but not to the point my ears bleed. There are so many combinations but finding the right one for yours quite difficult, I was lucky none was done and suits me perfectly.

Yes agreed Zags - that is why I am showing restraint in taking the plunge with going for an H-pipe as I don't want more volume and increased decibels, rather I hope to just enrich the sound quality.

What is your set up? I heard it when Matt still had it last year at Goodwood (think it was the last day of his ownership intact) and it sounded very nice!

Reason being, as I understand it, only the 200s are required for European markets, but the the US requires more restrictive cats so Maserati stuck the secondary 600 cells on to all cars regardless of whether they went to US or not....

Not 100% sure if that's logical. The US cars have *more* cats in the manifolds, do they not?

They have one in the manifolds and one in the pipes. De-carting a non-euro spec means replacing the manifolds as Mark has done...
