What happens when you try to raise the glass? There is a weakness with these that the actual mechanism fails, so the motor is turning, but the glass goes nowhere.
Also, there are a lot of sensors which may stop the motor from getting power. Additionally if the control unit has failed, that may stop the motor getting power.

If it were me, I'd do some testing to absolutely ensure that the motor is getting power, and has failed. Then you'll have to try and find a replacement by comparing with others available. The motor alone is not available from Maserati / Eurospares.

Then you'll need to see if the motor can actually be replaced from the mechanism.

If all that works out, let us know what motor you find fits?

Cheers

You can get an Alfa GTV one, which is near identical and rag the motor out of it and other parts.

Matt - can you provide any further details on the Alfa GTV - is it post 2003 that has the right parts? I note that there was a facelift in 2003.

I'm sure I have a motor in my spares box at home. It was taken from my car when I had to replace the entire lift mechanism when the spring failed so I know it works. Just need to find it!

Get a GTV regulator off ebay and use the motor, just make sure the motor looks like yours then swap them over. I think you have to drill some rivets off, here is one to get you started:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-ROME...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e878bac7d

What ususaly happens is the motor worm gear (metal) eats up the nylon gear it mates with. If you are sure its the motor only and its not jammed up with the nylon gear fragments then try the above but I would strip yours first to check.

Ross, its the later type GTV window with the AutoDrop function. Its mainly the same but the toothed regulator is different but you can swap parts out.

I found it. It came off my car two years ago and works fine. The problem was the mechanical lifting part broke where the spring sits. I have subsequently found out how to repair the mechanism but I only saved the motor part!
As you can see from the picture, it comes with the the gear box and micro switch and still on the mounting plate.
I would like £40 plus postage (depends where you would like to sent)

Hong Kong, crikey we really are a "Global forum" now.

Best off just sending the motor and the microswitch due to the weight.

It can be done, but first look at international postage rates comes out at £39.39 to send by air, tracked and insured. So basically as much as the part!
As matt says, I could strip it down to just the parts you need and that should make the postage quite a bit cheaper, but probably still around the £20 mark at a guess.
