I have the non self adjusting lights. The left to right adjustment knob is in clear view. Is there another up and down adjuster or how is it done?
Thanks

Its been a few years but I think it is adjusted by a turn screw on top of the motor that adjusts the beam to compensate for loads.

That's right, it takes a bit of finding! If it doesn't adjust the ball will have dislodged from the socket, twist the motor and it disengaged from the housing then you can re-engage it and twist back on.

This is for GS Xenons but same principle:

Sorry for the thread revival my n/s headlight is pointing straight at the floor causing my dipped beam to no work so well I need to adjust to fix.

Is the adjuster screw in the inspection hatch in the wheel arch or on top of the light under the bonnet (like a "normal car")?

Behind the light, I think. But I suspect if it's happened suddenly, it's not going to be adjustable.

No not happened suddenly been like it since I bought the car. Changed the lamps and it has improved somewhat but the adjustment is clearly out on the N/s and yes the replacement bulb is in securely it was doing that with the old bulb too... my guess previous owner/mechanic made a hash of it lol

So there is an adjuster and a thread somewhere with a how to.

Too much wine to find it for you now :)

There is a knurled bolt next to the beam to adjust the pitch. To access this remove the inspection panel in the wheel arch liner held on by a rusty Phillips screw.

The 'load adjuster' next to the light switch will only compromise for the slight change in pitch brought about by weight in the rear and is passive.

Slightly related.......off to Europe next week in the Spyder. Is it necessary to adjust the headlights for driving on the right? Because of the covers I presume you can't use those stick-on thingies???

Xenons? The cut off is so sharp you don't really need to. As far as I know there is no adjustment anyway

There are two adjusters, one for up and down and one for left to right adjustment. One is easier to spot than the other but from memory that is the left to right one. I ended up taking the wheel arch liner out to give more room.
