Hi Maverick and a big warm welcome....It may come as no suprise that you car has been spoken about and linked on here a few times...Mainly due to price....as it seems to be a bargain for a face lift car...Hope you don't mind me saying but may be worth adding to the advert when the car was last serviced or when its due one...plus if you know..how much the clutch is worn as this is one of the first questions you will be asked....Maybe when it had a new clutch........I hope it sells on here for you....Good luck...

Hi AndyK. many thanks for the response. the car had a major service at 56000 miles and is due an annual service now. which is also one of the reasons for the reduced price as its taking into account a service cost. as for the clutch that too was done at 56000 miles. All for tyres are good and so are the brakes. Am really hoping it sparks interest in here and goes to a good home.

I think you'd have a better chance of selling it if you got it serviced yourself. It will appear that you have pampered the car and prepared it for sale by getting it done, otherwise it may look like you can't be bothered with it and just want to pass the buck to the next buyer.I'm not saying that is what your doing but many buyers will think that way.GLWS

I sold my first 4200 with the similar miles, at the same age, at a very similar price. It only took a few weeks.

Mine had just been serviced at 60k by Emblem and came with a full report and copies of all nine previous annual and mile services...this enabked me to demonstration how well the car was cared for and despite the older clutch; reasure the buyer it was good for the year ahead.

Get it serviced, and if all ok put it up for a grand more to reflect the newer clutch and that its a face lift.

ain't it just like it!
have been looking at your car and have it on my list of cars to see. unfortunately I'm sitting in an airport (should not say unfortunately really since I am going on holiday:saifi3:) and not due back till 1/3 so good luck with the sale but if you have not shifted it by 1/3 drop me a line with your number and we can sort out a visit and inspection.
edit. as others have said, car being fully serviced prior to sale would be more attractive........even if reflected in price:thumb1:

As others have said, spend £1000 or so on a good service and detail, then add this to the asking price. It'll make it more saleable, while also stop it looking suspiciously cheap!

I'd have given this some serious thought , if I wasn't already hitched.
I kind of agree.....get a service, good history and put the price up.

You could get a service from a specialist for aroun £600 probably....add it to the price of the car as others have said....Advertise with recent service and 10k on the clutch and it should sell for you....

Hi Maverick

I thought the Facelift had the latest wheels only (as per my Avatar) whereas your car has the pre-Facelift wheels. Have you or a previous owner changed them, or maybe the earlier Facelifts came with the old style wheels?

Am sure somebody will enlighten me?

I thought that about the wheels, but it is an early facelift and knowing Maserati they probably used up what wheels they had at the time..!!

Think it was mentioned recently that the older wheels could be specced as an option.

That's a strange option to have offered. I wonder why anybody would have wanted the older wheels when in effect it would have immediately dated the latest model they've just shelled out circa £70k for - strange. Not that the original wheels aren't nice, I like them, just a strange Maserati decision that's all.
