So, I'm planning to start gathering parts for a clutch change on my manual car.

My parts list at the moment is standing at:
Clutch.
Thrust bearing.

What else do I need?
What else might I want to do / have done when things in that area are off?

Flywheel and spigot bearing?

What about bushes on the selector lever and the shifter assembly.... often overlooked in most cars

Interested in what the best prices are for the flywheel and clutch

Cheapest clutch I've found so far is Eurospares at about £1160 with delivery.

Eurocarparts want nearly double that, though their more or less constant X% off sales bring that down to a touch under £1,400
I contacted the Maserati dealer that lists on eBay about 8 months ago (Nottingham?) and they were similar back then.

My plan is to retain the old one and possibly get it re-surfaced which again, about 8 months back, was around 60% of the total cost, though the tangs issue might put an end to that though.

Is the flywheel a part known to fail / wear?
I'd never really thought of changing it on previous cars, with the exception of fitting a lighter weight one...

Flywheel will likely be dished. Spigot bearing is cheap, as are the release bearing springs and end of stroke pins. Clutch bolts and flywheel bolts for sure. F1 sensor if you don't want to be back in the bell housing anytime soon.

Just to close this off, I ended up dealing with Ross at Meridien Modena. He's been very helpful, and I'll be more than happy to give them my business in the future.
Parts are getting packaged up as we speak and should arrive with me tomorrow.

I know we have had the Kevlar reconditioned clutches, but every time someone has one they tend to disappear quickly!
Wasn't there talk of using a Ferrari clutch in our cars, can't remember the model, at one stage?

I'm thinking of holding on to the old one to potentially have it relined. I had a quote about 8 months back from a website that does Ferrari ones for about 50% of a new clutch.
There was some discussion about a QP clutch maybe fitting at one point, but that's still a 900 quid part, so unless you really want to try, and can have a car sitting mid clutch replacement at the time, it's a bit of a no go. Plus the labour to rectify if it doesn't fit..
