Or a Maserati trip computer :) The data is from the DVLA though: as I said, it needs a bit of interpretation (and a pinch of salt) because of the way model names have been recorded. Unless there is some better data around it's probably the closest we will get? The TVR Griffith numbers match the club's figures reasonably well.

The best of all worlds is clearly the GranSport. It has the best looks, the best interior, the best handling, the best engine, the best wheels and of course the best gearbox software - faster changes and blips on the downshift!

Blah looks, blah engine, blah gearbox........all of that and it is still a car with two surfboards stuck on the side instead of two turbos under the bonnet ;) honestly, no denying the GS is a more sorted car mechanically than the 32 and 42, I should hope so since it is a newer design, but mark my words, in 10 years the 32, and maybe the first 42s will be worth more.......

As this is a classico appreciation thread, edited with appropriate comments:

The best of all worlds is clearly the GranSport. It has the best looks (If you like Richard Grant add-ons), the best interior, (If you like the retro 3200 look) the best handling (If you like your fillings knocking out), the best engine (They couldn't bother to make a real difference), the best wheels (made of cheese) and of course the best gearbox software - faster changes and blips on the downshift! (decided the first generation classico software was best after all)

and you have to pay a premium to buy one?

Haha! Your defensive comments just tell me that you know the GranSport is the best!

There's no such thing as a 4200 classico - they're just old 4200s! :)

To be fair I was looking for a facelift Spyder, and only then because I didn't have the money for a GS. But I do think the original Spyders have a lot of character.

Better interior realy ! Apart from the front seats . One word tech cloth was that a option for the Classico ? I rest my case .

Better seats, better steering wheel, better pedals (you copied them, remember?), better console, better dashboard without the 'classico' (translation - old and outdated) sat nav/entertainment system. This is too easy!

After thought bolt on centre consol and dash( miss match ) , I'll give you the steering wheel and the pedals . As for the entertainment system there are both Sh*t so no winners there . The GS is a great car no fighting that and would I swap for one maybe but it's trying to hard with to much bolt add ons (miss jointed inside and out ) not fluid in its design . Trying to hard . Will it be a furture classic of design ??

John I have the numbers sold in UK so will try to dig them out.

My tuppence-worth on which is best - well it's completely subjective and fair to say we all think we have the best for our own personal reasons/bias, but when I bought my last-of-the-line 4200 (Facelift to most), I couldn't stretch to a GS so I wanted the best I could buy. My car has the same software as a GS, so I was happy I had the best-sorted and best looking 4200 that was made, and closest to the GS too which is widely regarded as the best incarnation of the Coupe. My car blips beautifully on the downshift - where does this opinion come from that the 'Facelifts' don't as I've read this before?

Edit: actually John I remember vividly you and Ross drooling over my car at Goodwood and waxing lyrical at how beautiful it is and better than your cars - you must've changed your mind since, which is fine, it's not a crime...:shy1:

My car has Xenons too - were these standard on a Facelift?
