A blue, 46k mile (approx) 4200 Cambio from 2002 just sold at the H and H auction at Chateau Impney for £15,750 - which becomes about £17,650 with the auction fees and Vat added. Given that at auction you are buying a car untested and without any warranty, this must count as good news for those wanting prices to be high. The buyer could have had MAF's black Gran Sport for not much more than that!

And a blue 1999 Ghibli GT also sold at the same auction, for a hammer price of £9000 (so about £10,100 after fees). I thought this was quite high given that the mileage was at approximately 82,000. I was bidding on this but dropped out at £7500.

Can't understand why an auction and this price when there still good examples in the market.

That was a nice looking Ghibli GT, I had also looked at it - previously owned by the man that donated the two Ferraris to the RNLI.

It was a "missing car" - ie one of the very few not listed on Enricos website.

That's excellent news on price, it was the third car to come off the production line after mine was made, and it's done 30k more miles!

It was a very nice, well cared for car & well used too. It might be a high price but still, lots of car for your money - I am fond of these Ghiblis, it is an itch that will need to be scratched at some point I feel!

Looking at what that Ghibli made at auction reminds of this one that David Askew had for sale a little more than a year ago. I often wish I had bought it at the time, even if only to tuck it away for a little while until I could justify running two Maseratis, it was a very nice example and a lovely colour too
