4200 AC COMPRESSOR

Morning all

Had a look on Autodoc etc and all the alleged pattern parts are out of stock.

Is there a known alternative and a source? Had a look in the obvious places in here, and could not find a part number. Also some debate whether the Meat & Doria part was actually compatible with the 4200.

Mine is a 2004 CC if that makes a difference.

Some parts listed on ebay, but that feels like more of a gamble re compatability.

I believe the original is beyond refurbishment.

TIA

This is the one I purchased last year if that helps -

Thanks Nick. Did you order the Delphi compressor direct from them or from Eurospares?

I had hoped there would be a cheaper alternative to the Delphi.

Direct from them. I think Eurospares is exactly the same, but in a fancy Maserati box and last time I looked, £1k +. Good customer service as well.

Be warned, Compressor Express ship from Hungary so you'll have to pay import duty, VAT, etc on that of their price.

Cheaper alternative:

I phoned Stephen at Compressor Express and he couldn’t be more helpful. I’m sure I didn’t pay any extra charges? He also said that he supplies main Ferrari/Maserati dealers with the same product and they just add on more £££.

Maybe different for you but, in my case, FedEx wouldn't release the parcel until I'd paid the extra duty and VAT charges.

Thanks Mikey for the suggestion, but sadly another one that is out of stock.

Any other suggestions?

I don't know what the duty and shipping would be, but I bought mine from coolairparts.com in Texas and it's been working fine for several years.
