3200GT Wiring in Boot

Hi all

I'm fitting a DAB aerial and I need a 12V feed that is switched by the ignition, looking for a cable in the boot I can tap into, the wiring diagrams are a bit confusing for my wee brain, and in fact a lot of the colours seem wrong anyway. My car is a 2001 vintage.

Help please :)

I can’t think of anything in the boot that’s switched, even the amp is a permanent feed with a separate on/off signal from the radio.

When I fitted a DAB aerial it didn’t need a feed.

That would be pretty much ideal, though, no?

Much like the old electric retracting antennas

It’s this tiddly little red/green wire that’s about 1/4 the x-section of all the others, no idea what current draw it’s designed for but it’s not a lot.

I have a 2001 car and it does not have the amp in the boot. There are a cluster of relays behind the battery though, i wold have thought one of them would have ignition switched power? There are also the fuel pumps behind the liner which are ignition powered?

In the end I just extended the cable through to the Stereo and attached it to the ACC wire that powers the unit. Anyway its all working nicely now. Just need to tidy up the cabling :)
