Well i always jet wash and brush clean and dry in the garage before spraying, but sealing the potential rusty spots off from air and water i think is always better. Its not paint its more of a waxoyl type thing which seems to squeeze water away, its protected everything i have sprayed it on, I have never seen it worsening the problem.

The problem with spraying us you are trapping corrosion in. You need to remove the surface rust first, then apply a preventer and then use the protection. Something like POR15 works a treat. The other option is to not use the car in the wet or during road salting season.

Pair of genuine arms delivered just in time for Christmas :)

Will see what the fitment is like...

Plot thickens.
I only very quickly offered these genuine ones up to the car. Now we've come to bolt them on they don't quite fit properly.
So my guess is that 4200 arms don't fit the 3200 after all so will see what eurospares have to say.

In what way don't they fit? Is it the area with the bushes being too big to fit in the fork as per the original poster? If so then my money is on Maserati beefing up this area on the OEM ones as well. I'm fairly certain 4200 arms used to fit the 3200 according to other posts on the subject.

Yes same problem, don't get how I missed to be honest. Ahh well.
I certainly won't be grinding them down to fit.

The brackets on later 4200 and GS can accommodate the later wishbones but I don't know if these will fit 3200 or whether you will have to modify the brackets. GS fork brackets are £54 plus vat each so not cheap might be best to see if eurospares can still get original 3200 wishbones.

3200 wishbones are obsolete.

Its a choice then, change the brackets, modify the existing brackets or file some of the wishbones. 1 or 2 for me if the time comes to change them.

Anybody know why the GS brackets are different to the 4200 brackets and yet the wishbones are the same? There a big price difference between the two.

Could it have anything to do with the standard lower ride hight?
Interesting, looking at the superformance website they have pictures and it's not the Gransport that's different it's later 4200's and Gransports. The rear bracket has the bolt offset from the centre. Not sure how that works with the same wishbones unless the rear subframe is different on later models with the holes in a different place.
