Not been on for a while...My beloved 3200gt was written off a few weeks ago...Andrew at joe macari did his best but to no avail...it looked like little damage but we all know how expensive these parts are....anyway on a brighter note its replacement is a Maserati Granturismo 4.2 with all the bits, 2008 car, which is a great car, dream come true....very happy now as you can imagine...picture to follow...showed it off at Auto Italia today at Brooklands in Surrey...some amazing cars there today...looking forward to maybe taking the new gt to Italy later this year.....2013-04-21 12.09.05.jpg

Thanks Andy as mentioned before I was gutted about the 3200 as they are getting rarer, but the silver lining has turned to gold...(actually grigio granite!)

Sorry to hear about the demise of your 3200, but it looks like you have a very worthy replacement. What happened to the 3200? There could be others here interested in parts, especially the boomerangs.

For me the best colour on a 4.2 GT as well.......Love it.

thanks for all the comments, yes the new car has been well looked after and had the right kit put on it, Dick Lovett maintained etc etc...as for the 3200gt, I believe a salvage company called Coparts collected it on behalf of the insurance company, (the insurance company was not keen on me buying it back)...I have looked at Coparts site but it hasn't appeared yet...the car had damage to all 4 wheels and tyres and the rear drivers side wing and small amount on the drivers door...suspension/geometry etc was probably damaged but the remainder of the car, inside and out, engine, bodywork you name it was pristine

Sorry to hear the bad news on the 3200, not many left now I presume. What do you think of the 4200 now you have had both? Would be interested to hear your views on comparing both cars.
Regards
Stuart

Ahh, just seen the photo of the new one, not the 4200 I was thinking of...lol, nice upgrade. Thinking of going the same way myself one day, would like to keep my 3200 GTA as well though, oh well one can dream..

I always would have loved to keep the 3200 as well if I could have afforded to...but the old girl didn't get that far, if you ever are in a position to get a granturismo, beg, borrow and beg again to get one...great car. Mine was a dream too, one life....live it!
