Morning everyone ,

Car has been off the road during winter months ,
just been mot'd and had a small service ready for the better weather. During the off road spell I had the battery idolater switch off . I turned back on and battery was good enough to start . I have an issue now that when I lock car with fob and activate alarm then the alarm triggers repeatedly ( my siren failed years ago so there is no noise just indicators flashing once every 3 or 4 seconds) If when I lock the car I hold the button for a period of approx 3 seconds ( I assume this deactivates the ultrasonics ) then it locks ok and no flashing - so I am assuming this trigger is brought about by the volumetric or microwave sensor , has anyone experienced this or know where it hides ?

TIA

Yes, on my 3200 funnily enough and the Spyder when it rained. The rain hitting the roof was enough to set it off on both vehicles.

Apparently you can have the senisitivy turned down but I just disconnected them and the problem went away.

They are both behind the A Pillars, just unpaid and tie up so the multiplugs dont rattle.

A pillar removal:

1. With a trim tool, pull the inside B pillar trim away at the top above the front seatbelt upper fixing.
2. With a trim tool, inside the car, pull the curtain trim off which sits between the roof and the top of the front door glass.
3. Undo the screw at the top of the A pillar.
4. Pull the top of the A pillar trim away and wiggle/twist the bottom of the trim and it will pull off.

I thought that , but there are no cables or any brackets there - weird , just had a look on Eurospares parts info and can find the unit but can't seem to locate sensors .
