3200 statement

Keep up the anti manual propaganda chaps, I'd love to pick up and even cheaper one!!

It's a funny old debate, but to me they drive like two different cars, I just adored my manual and felt the auto I drove was missing something, more relaxing, probably a better GT and I take on board the endfloat comments, but it didn't have the excitement of the manual.

I take Dicky's commercial point to an extent, a different risk. LEt me know if you get a leggy Manual in eh??!!!

Paco, I'm with you as when I bought mine I tried both and prefered the manual.

Not baffling at all Nigel, some prefer one over the other for many and varied reasons. My Porsche is a manual and I would not have it any other way. My 3200 is an Auto and I don't think I would trade it for an manual. I choose whatever suits my purposes.

I tried manual 3200s/ 4200s and did not bond with them but the moment I tried the auto 3200 I knew it was the car for me and would suit the intended purpose perfectly.

Surely finding something baffling is an individual thing?! What I find baffling is some of the comments around which preferences are based, because they are so strongly one way or the other - despite owning both (first two 3200s were manual, current one auto - and 4200 was cc) and driving quite a few others, the enthusiasm for slating the manual to the extent it is slated by some just doesn't stack up. Preference is one thing, heresay is another!
