So what do you think then after all that work, what's it like to drive..

You won't be disappointed ;)

Wow lovely to see.
As much as I'm a 4200 F1 fan you can't beat a drive in a Good manual box 3200 experienced a couple when I worked for the Dealership.
Let's hope the UK has an Indian Summer.

Looks stunning both top and bottom, impressive work.

Where in Staffordshire are you located? I know the area well as went to school in Lichfield.

Great to see one getting the love and attention it deserves.

Also interesting to see that it needs this level of after care at that age...makes you realise that even the low mile ones will need a healthy pot of money and time spent on them to keep them rinning as intended. Something to be aware of when you see them for sale at x price.

Thanks for all the comments.

It drove well before apart from the clutch and the gearbox jumping out of reverse. Now after having all work done and a replacement gearbox, it drives like new.

Every arm, shock and spring replaced for new genuine really makes a difference.

Mine needs new brake lines front to back;
Could these be replaced with the rest of the car intact? (suspect yours were done with most of the running gear removed).
Did you have to get ABS unit re-set and/or bled using a diagnostic tester?

Great looking car (fix the cigarette lighter) :D

Wow all new wishbones? Could see the front uppers were brand new. No worries about cracking inner bushes for you.
Can still remember my first drive of the AC back in 2007, when it was only 6 years old. Your will be even tighter. Happy days! :D

My new metal brake lines were fitted with the rest of the car intact.

Great news, thanks greeny12 :)
Is it a job for at home, or handing over to the garage. Costs are important, but don't want to set off on mission impossible.

Mine were done at Emblem, but I'm not really the yardstick for DIY potential after taking two days to fix a bloody indicator bulb!!

Rear subframe needs to be down for access really. Then the old pipe can be removed in one piece and copied.
Kunifer pipe is the best to use. Don't use copper pipe.

A long job but well worth it , just in time for a couple of months of fun before the bad weather sets in

You and I should get together for a maintenance weekend, my interior light bulb is out, I think between us we should get it done in 2 days
