Aye, have taken a deposit and pretty sure the fella will be more than happy once he comes to collect and finalise the deal...
cheers fellas... back soon, I'll pop in from time to to time and hope to turn up to the odd event but with a Maserati, I wish but not likley for a while but you never know... here's the new Rally Car replacing the one I killed in Canada... it's bloody fantastic, an amazing difference 6 years of Prodrive development makes!!! Tis a shame the Maserati sale pays for less than 1/6 of the new rally car though, but hey....

Passed right by the Ace at 6pm in a rush to get into town, sorry I didnt' have to time to drop in, hopefullu next time... It wouldn't have been in anything interesting if I had come... I've got nowt interesting in the paddock at the moment, the rally cars are to expensive to run on a jolly I'm afraid... Good meet???
As soon as I get some of the bills out of the way for the rallying I'll be on the hunt for something interesting, maybe head back into 60's Yank Muscle again for a while, although I've got an offer to build some GAV GT GT40's with a mate in South Africa, might see if I can land myslef with a deal on a Gulf painted one...

Hi Andy... next event for you I guess would be 29th May at Down Ampney, nr Cirencester and we're back there again on 26th June, great events to drive but maybe not to spectate at as access is restrictive, it's also an airfield event so a little different than the usual blasting down the lanes.
We’re mostly on Tarmac events now, although we might dip a toe now and again onto gravel/forest events but this will be in a 2nd car and I’m waiting to make a plan on that, so for now it’s all Tarmac.
We’ve done a few endurance rallies over in Canada in the last couple of years but this year we'll stay here... and again next year we’re focused on staying in the UK and maybe dipping a toe into a few events in France, Belgium and Germany, although Rally Barbados is on the cards but whether we do that in 2011 or 2012 we don’t know yet, it’s also not out of the question that we may go back to Canada for the big endurance rally, which will greatly reduce the number of days we do in the UK. The aim is 10 days of rallying a year.
Most of the UK Single Venue events can be pretty restrictive on spectators, or should I say that’s how they’re advertised for H&S reasons but you can usually rock up and get to view at a specific area, or if you sign up as a Marshall (no previous experience needed and extra marshall's are always needed), you get posted out to a decent spot to watch and help if anything goes wrong... It’s a good way to do it if you have the time as you’ll usually need to commit to 8am to 6pm...
The rest of this year is looking like this: -
29th May – EMCOS Stages – Down Ampney nr Cirencester
26th June – Corinium Stages – Same location as above
17th July – Azimghur Stages – Colerne
AUGUST – Still looking for an event
26th September – Patriot Stages – Caerwent
OCTOBER – Still looking for an event
21st November – Carfax Stages – venue TBC
...and next year although dates are still to be confirmed is looking like this: -
March – Le Touquet, France
March - Tour of Caerwent - Caerwent
April – Get it sideways stages – Down Ampney
May – Jim Clark Rally or May – SOL Rally Barbados
June – Corinium Stages – Down Ampney
JULY - BELGIUM
August - Mewla Rally - Epynt
September – Patriot Stages – Caerwent
OCTOBER – GERMANY
November – Carfax Stages – venue TBC
2012 might take us into a Championship or a mix of above with Tarmac only rounds of the British Rally championship...
I’m also focused on keeping up with my circuit racing but finding time and a drive is difficult but I try and get out once a year on circuit, so around October time this year I’ll try and get a couple of races in at the Victor Meldrew Challenge Cup at Brands Hatch, that’s a good days handicap racing that is worth watching...
Shout if you’re ever thinking of coming along or looking for events any given weekend and I’ll see what I can do...
