Thought I would add this as I've just done it!

To allow the air con system to 're-learn':

1. With the ignition to OFF, turn the temp dial to LO, the fan dial to AUTO and the air direction dial to AUTO.

2. Hold down the 'recirculate' and 'econ' buttons together.

3. Turn the ignition to ON and wait until the lights on the 2 buttons flash in unison, then let go of the buttons. Once the lights have stopped flashing, the system is reset...

Mine used to do that on its own! About 2 years ago when it went for a service at a main dealer the agent pointed it out and said it needed a new heater controller, and quoted about £1k for it. I politlely declined, discovered the above procedure and fixed it for free in five minutes. I called him back and he now has two where once there was one!

mine appears to reset at randon intervals.
Still blows cold when I ask for it, so maybe best for me to leave it alone?

It’s great that people put these things up because I got in the car this morning and realised that it was just blowing hot air, found this through google, tried it and it’s fixed it!
