3200/4200 back boxes

They are 3200 boxes.

He has my old 4200 ones still I think.

I have checked every picture I can find, and they look nothing like larine, or tubi back boxes for a 3200, presume he has posted the correct pics, will contact him to find out, He did have yours Phill, they actually had 4200 engraved on them, he sold them while I was on holiday.

Surely on a 3200, the twin pipes exit the box at the long end rather than the side as shown in these pictures? These look totally different to any 3200 box I have seen?

He has used the wrong picture, you are right these pictured are 4200/GS boxes.

He did have both sets in 3200 and 4200 and some GS back boxes. The 3200 ones had 3200 embossed on the underside. I think he wanted +£1100 for the 4200 ones which seemed steep when they are about £1250 new at the moment excluding the shipping and duty/ vat.

Well, I spoke to Stu this morning, and he is adamant that they are 3200 boxes and that the picture is of the correct item, said they came off an AC that he returned to standard, said Dicky Grace would confirm that these are for a 3200. I have Larinis on my AC, I will confirm if they are the same as mine tomorrow when I get back. He did take the Larinis off his old AC though as I saw it with them on.

These will not fit standard 3200 exhaust. i bought a pair just like this many years back from a guy on e-bay who swore they would fit a 3200 and there was absolutely no way these would fit, the space under the car is the wrong shape, the hangers are in the wrong place and the pipe connections to the main exhaust are miles away and facing the wrong way, the misfit is not subtle and cannot be modified. i was lucky and got a refund and only had to pay the shipping.

Yep they look the wrong shape that's for sure. But if they came off Stu's car then he's either sold on the wrong pair (3200) or they were fitted and fudged by the previous owner.

He even logged in to his e-bay page, to check whilst we were on the phone, when I questioned weather the wrong pic had been used, and was still adamant they were for 3200 and the pic is correct, where are you Dicky?

These were mine and you can see they are the other way round (writing shown) but imagine them flipped over, pipework and brackets identical.

Yep, I remember seeing yours on there, he dropped them to £900 before they sold, to someone on here apparently, remember seeing the 3200 ones on at the same time, but thought they were tubi`s (may be mistaken), the fact that he looked whilst talking to me I find very strange, if I lived closer I`d go and have a look for myself.
