See and you would be wrong!

What has the weekend at Le Mans taught me? Don't listen to Dave.

Lol - I couldn't find a tongue in cheek emoji - hence exclamations!!!!!! You could also use WD40 - and if you had listened to me and left 12 minutes earlier we would have got 3.30 boat........

Yeah, I had exactly the same issue. They're pretty craply designed because the workings are exposed to the elements, in this case 300 miles of Biblical rains. They probably just need lubing. I use motorbike chain oil. It's a job for later in the week.

Lubing valves. That made me laugh out loud.

That was a good run, 3 hours? I got in at 00:30 so around 1:40, I would have been quicker but for paranoia of police cars at night...I'm now up and going to head back! Thanks for being a great co-pilot, and the interesting chats, I feel more educated now. Next year we'll do a non calais ferry...

Matt, thanks for organising a great trip, sign me up for next year.

71 Mph all the way honestly :) I think i may have woken up parts of Middlewich and Macclesfield on my way down the back lanes from the M6 turn off. Jodrell bank could well have been tracking the Tubi and H pipe combo soundtrack :)

Average speed on the trip computer for the journey was a shade over 70 but the m25 was down to one lane for several miles for repairs.

I did have the benefit of this ringing in my ears on the way back along with some happy memories :)

In all the excitement and adventures which occurred since, I'd forgotten about the large, angry, naked Welsh man who fell in a bowl of chips and broke it. I hope the porcelain came out of his ar5e ok.

If it had been as early as midnight perhaps Mr Angry wouldn't have been so, er, angry.

... or was it the sound of Zep returning from his ill-fated Tour de Le Touquet?

I fear my Le Mans trip has in no way shape or form prepared me for this weekend, stag do, 4 jocks, 2 English and 4 of us ex squaddies. I can't believe how much booze just came thru the door to the lodge. Ffs, there are 6 bottles of port!!!
