Hi guys.

Just a quick one.

Does anyone know the official length of the 2 as I'm trying to work out if a GTS will fit in my garage.

My fathers Ghibli does with a couple of inches to spare but I'm struggling to find exact measurements for both.

Thanks in advance...

4881mm for the regular GT or 4933mm for the Centenniel or Stradale.

4971mm for the Ghibli.

Size of the GT surprised me when I first discovered it. I thought it was way smaller than it actually is!

Body style can be deceptive sometimes I think.

It surprises me regularly. Its not *that* much bigger than the 4200, but the difference is more than just the numbers suggest

I'm not sure that's strictly true! My GS fits in one of my garages with several inches to spare at the back and a similar gap again at the front. But when I measured it up for a Strad I needed to extend the garage by another few inches again. I'd say the GT is considerably bigger than the GS. And that's pretty much the only reason why I'm unlikely ever to get one.

I tend to agree that the GT is just a bit too big. Can't be far off a QP. I think if it gets used regularly with bigger kids or adults then fair enough. However I would rather have a QP to do what a QP does best and then a smaller car to do that bit better.

Don't get me wrong I love the GT and it is a great car. Just that my circumstances and views mean I can't see me ever wanting or getting one. The QP is awesome value and with a cheap 4200 you have both for the price of a GT.

Cars that are good value will still be good value when you sell them. No problem with that as long as you buy what you want.

I like big cars and for the GranTurismo it needs to be the size it is to get the elegance which it possesses. It is no sports car and does to pretend to be, Stradale excepted.

PS I agree that Maserati also need a smaller two seater (ish) sports car as well.

You could well be right, Ewan. I remember looking at the numbers when I was shopping and thinking 'It's not that different'

Just checked and it's about a foot! 4523mm vs 4881mm

Oh well I feel a bit better now :)

The QP and GTS whilst similar in length do fit in modern garages.

Spot on. Hence me having a QP GTS and a GS MCV. But the GT is a great choice for those that need to try to do both jobs from just one car.
