Hi Guys.

Apologies its probably been mentioned a million times but I dont have much time to research.

Had some battery issues recently when out, few warning lights coming up and going away and dead battery twice in 2 weeks even though is on a CTEK trickle charger. Taken it out when charger is showing 7 lights and then couldnt start,

Im presuming the OEM battery is on the blink.

Booked in with Maserati in Maidstone to check in the morning and been quoted £280 - £360 for the battery alone to replace.

Obviously im not keen paying this so will ask for a health check and diagnosis and then source own battery.

Can anyone recommend a guaranteed battery for this model as im struggling.

Halfords recommends a Yuasa HB110 Silver at £123 on their ipad instore, Yuasa themselves state a YBX3017 on their website and online im reading Yuasa HSB019?

Im lost. Can anyone with a 4.7 facelift GTS recommend what I would ideally get because if I can get one from Halfords in the morning for instance and pop it up ill get them to fit it.

Also any issues doing this myself? Any warning lights need resetting etc by Maserati if I just unconnect and reconnet the terminals?

Personally I'd get a Bosch S4 or S5 with the highest Cold Cranking Amps (CCA). There is also Varta which is the same as Bosch. But you will need to check physical dimension for a replacement.
Cant help you if all the fault codes clear themselves or not when you replace a dead battery - they do on a Porsche and it completes a full system cycle check but I would not hold out that Italians would think of that. The one-touch raising of windows and one-touch closing of sun-roof have to be re-learnt. It might be the same on a Maserati.

Type 019 S5 013 Bosch Silver Calcium

Although Euro Car Parts are for some reason listing the S4 at £200

It's a 10 minute job to change, so really don't be paying MD rates. Even Halfords will probably sell you one and fit it for a tenner

Or bring it up here and I'll do it gratis

Just seen this. If you're near Maidstone then you'll be near my workshop. I'm in until midday today so feel free to bring the battery down and I'll fit it FOC. Just give the workshop a call for directions...

Same question here, hope someone can help.

I've a 2010 GT 4.7S

Manual recommends a FAIMM 12V 100Ah 850A/CCA. Previous owner installed an Exide Premium 100Ah 900CCA.

EuroCarParts have an Bosch S5 100Ah but only 830CCA. 444770198. Size seems to be right, slightly less CCA make a difference?

I agree with Zep, the difference in CCA is only 10% or so. Just keep the receipt or stick it to the battery just in case the Bosch S5 fails before the 5 year warranty.
