I am considering selling my only recently purchased GTS MC-Shift to purchase a Gransport. As a city dweller, it isn't really working for me as a daily driver.

It was purchased from Graypaul Nottingham in October 2013. It has the balance of Maserati warranty and had its 2 year service immediately before I purchased, so no more servicing for nearly two years.

Graypaul have offered to take it back to sell on my behalf, but I thought I would also offer it here. I understand Graypaul will list at £64950, so there is a chance here to strike a good deal for seller and purchaser alike before Graypaul get their hands on it.

It is nero on nero with silver stitching, Bose, Carbon interior pack, black alcantara headling, sports suspension and brakes pack, and a few other options - a very nicely specced car. I'll get a full spec from Graypaul in the next few days. Of course, apart from the inevitable few stone chips around the front, it is immaculate inside and out. It has done under 8k miles.

Here are a few photos:

If anybody on here is interested, just drop me a message.

Hi Robert, Best fortune with the sale. Looks a good one. Have you dropped it by the way? Looks well planted.

Don't suppose the letters M, C and V are occupying your mind are they? :D

Yes, they might be.............rather a lot in fact. Tough decision in the cold light of day, albeit one I recognise I am very fortunate to be able to make.

Still oscillating between the two, just been making a list of the pros and pros. I have:

MCV

Smaller
Prettier
Less in your face
Rarer
Will not depreciate significantly
May appreciate
More of a classic
Cheaper to buy and run (possibly re the run aspect)
More fun?

GTS

More modern
More reliable (possibly)
More luxurious and comfortable
Can use every day
Will do long journey's with ease
Less mileage sensitive
Better sounding (although I've never heard an MCV)?

Have I missed anything or get anything wrong?

Nothing wrong with your analysis. Personally I have never had any 'in your face' issues with my GranTurismo but I did with my facelift 4200, albeit it was red. They key thing with the GS is that it's value will not take well to miles being put on it so if it's a weekend warrior choice then that is fine but if it is a daily driver then I would stick where you are.

Well, i went and looked at a few GS. I still think they are terrific and hugely underrated cars and would love another. But in the process I actually started to appreciate and enjoy the GTS more. So, having not found a GS that hit the mark, and with growing admiration for what I already have, I have decided to stick rather than twist for the time being.

However, to deal with my continuing slight issue with the GTS in the city, I bought a nearly new Abarth 500 today. What a great little car, and incredible value when compared to a Mini Cooper S. Can't wait to pick it up next Tuesday :) I think the combination will work brilliantly together.

They are both fantastic cars in different ways. Ignoring size and the implications of that in terms of chuckability, which i would say is greater in the GS, the other major differences for me are GS gearbox is noticeably slower and the noise is less intoxicating. However, the interior is, for me, a nicer place to be. Oddly it feels lighter and larger, but I am sure the lighter colour of my interior contributes to this. But is also feels more special and bespoke, less generic. Just my thoughts

Gearbox PIS may need adjustment, my gearchange is fast in sport with the foot down, a definite bang straight in..!! Noise, well get an exhaust mod..!! I don't know if you heard mine at the 3 Acres, but it does sound nice..!! Interesting points though, I had considered trying a GTS, but I'm not really sure about them, I will have to drive one and see at some point..!! Currently I love the GS very much..!!
